Getting involved with the hospital?
So I've been looking into taking the Life Science 3EP3 course and I'm debating between doing research or some other volunteering to get the credit for it.

I was hoping to do some volunteering or something at the children's hospital but I know there's a waiting line-up. I know tons of health science friends who work/volunteer there and it's not the usual "fill out the volunteer application" type jobs. I'm wondering, where do they find these opportunities? I've searched the health science faculty's website again and again and haven't found much. I applied for something last year, after advice from a friend, but my interview didn't go as planned. I'm hoping to find some other placements/volunteer positions open at the hospital so I can try again. Can anyone help me with this?

Did you try talking to the SCCE?

Alternatively, there are many many other hospitals in Hamilton.

If it's a healthcare setting you require, you could also look into nursing homes, hospices, outpatient clinics, urgent care centres...
Yes, the paediatric hospital is swamped with students. Swamped.
