Both courses would be included in your GPA.

Every course you take at Mac will be included in your GPA, even if you re-took the same course 5 times.

So both will be included, mark 1 + mark 2 / 2

how about when you graduate, the minimum amount of courses is usually around 40, so does the GPA consider the top highest 40 courses if u have more than 40 or all ?

Every course you ever take will be included in your transcript/GPA.

Pass/Fail type courses do not give out grades, instead you get a COM for completion.

Depends on your faculty. Each faculty probably has a list of pre-approved courses on their website. If you want to approve a course which hasn't already been approved then you'll need the course outline of the course you want to take and the course outline of the course you think its equivalent to, and take them to the associates dean office.

Depends on the university. It should be in their undergraduate calendar for instance, people from other universities have to follow these instructions to take courses at McMaster: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...2-13/pg83.html

It may be the same or it might not be so do some research.
