Grade Update
Hey guys, I recently got my grade for a course, and unfortunately I missed an 80 by 0.7%. The mark is already on grade report. If I contact the prof, do you think there is there anyway that they could bump it up? I'm guessing no, but this is especially disappointing since I tried very hard in this course :(

I don't think they would do it, otherwise, they would've already done it. But it never hurts to try. I tried last year with a prof, he never replied lol. So yea go ahead, give them a good reason, the worse is they would not reply.

No they won't, it's not high school. It is what it is.

Mark adjustments are usually up to the prof's discretion. However, 0.7 is a pretty huge bump. I can understand if it was a 79.6, but it might be difficult to bump from a 79.2. Either way, you should ask. I'm not trying to discourage you, but I've been in a similar situation, and my prof decided he couldn't help me. Welp.

My average is literally .1 under 11, I would love it if they boosted me to an 11 :/

Last term, I was short of a 90 by exactly 0.7.
I emailed my prof, he didn't reply. But he bumped it up to a 12.
So it really doesn't hurt trying.
The only concern is, that your prof has already submitted the grades. So to change it, he would have to go through an entire process, which I doubt he'd do.
I knew my overall grade beforehand as there was no exam for the course.

Yeah Ab299, you shouldn't be afraid to ask. Unfortunately, I emailed my prof right after the exam grades were posted, but he had already submitted the grades. That's why he couldn't bump me. You never know if things will work out in your favour . It doesn't always happen, but when it does, it's frigging awesome.
