It's ridiculous when you walk in and see the size from the inside.

Just to clear up a couple things:

1. There are multiple No Frills locations scattered across Hamilton. As previously mentioned, there's the one on Main St, another on Delta (near the pizza pizza) and a bunch on the mountain including one across the street from a Metro on Upper James. The only trouble would be taking the bus to get to the ones not on the mountain, but if you don't mind riding the 1A or 5E for a bit, it's worth it.

2. Hamilton also has 2 normal Wal-Marts plus one Supercentre in Ancaster, as someone else has already pointed out. The normal Wal-Mart closest to Mac (which incidentally also has $3.97 milk usually lol) is on Upper James, so you'd need to get the 1A/5E/B-line over to Gore Park and catch the 27 bus from there. The other Wal-Mart is all the way in Eastgate and doesn't have a refrigerated food section, so I'm not sure if it'd be worth anyone's trouble :/

re: size of the Supercentres:
Those things are MASSIVE. I went to the one in Burlington and the lot was probably as big as the GO station parking lot it was situated beside, if not bigger. Gotta admit those places are convenient though, especially if you don't want to go around to a multitude of stores to get everything you want/need.

Technically, The Barn didn't change its name because it got bought out. It was bought out by Metro 4 or 5 years ago but didn't change its name until last year when Metro decided to revamp and name most (if not all) of its stores to Metro.

Moo!io says thanks to myster for this post.
