Which gym? You use your student card to access the gym at Mac, not including the weight room, treadmills, etc.

from my understanding with your student card you can use the swimming pool, the track and the game courts (i.e. for squash, badminton etc.)

if you want to use the machines (i.e. weights, cardio etc.) you need to get a "Pulse" membership- which I believe is somewhere a bit above $100 for 8 months which is pretty reasonable

& for the 4 summer months it is $63

if you need more info try googling David Braley Athletic Centre - i would post the link but it doesnt seem to be working for me atm

I'm assuming by "this card" you mean your student card. If so, you're allowed into the track, swimming pool and the courts, but not the weightroom or the area with all the machines (the Pulse). That's an extra $119. Check the site for more info: http://reconline.mcmaster.ca /econn...55&cid=15 501

Here's what you get if you don't pay for a gym membership:

Track access, squash courts, and basically any facility usage except for the Pulse.

If you buy a gym membership:

Access to the Pulse, as well as the climbing wall, as well as free admission to the classes within the Pulse.

What you don't get with a gym membership and you still have to pay for regardless:

Intramurals of any kind, or the classes outside The Pulse like Kickboxing, Aerobics, Yoga, etc.

Hope that helps
