I'm just wondering how hard it's to get a 7 or 8 out of 12 point scale GPA in Mcmaster. I'll be doing Business Informatics "Which is Computer Science mixed with some BUS courses."

Are the TA taugh markers? Especially in CS and Business.

That really depends. For some people 7 is nothing but for others it might be impossible. Even basing it on your high school marks can be hard. I personally maintained the same level or marks I had in high school but I know a lot of people who saw their marks drop a great deal. Every person is different so it's really hard to say until you're in the program itself.

In terms of the TAs, they're just upper year students so again, it can vary a great deal.

In terms of material though, I don't think getting a 7 should be that hard if you are willing to do a decent amount of work and not **** around.

For me, my first and second year marks followed the same pattern as my high school marks - absolute garbage. Failed a couple of classes, too.

With a bit of effort, 4/6 of my marks last term were 10+ and I'm got above an 8.0.

A bit of motivation goes a long way... as long as you're dedicated, I don't see why it's not possible.

Judging by the fact that you thought that was a valid question; yes, yes it is hard getting a B-

Is it difficult for you to maintain a 70% average?

If not, then no.
If yes, then yes.

Your birthday is the same as my mom's.

Its impossible to predict marks.. people who were good in HS have gone down, and people who were terrible in HS have gone up, there are so many different factors to consider..

How often do you study in HS? What courses are you taking this semester? Whats your average? Do you find yourself clustering your studying around test and exam dates?

If you're comfortable with programming right now, those courses should be your easiest.. and I can't really say anything for business other than how boring the course is proportional to how poorly you'll do in it.

(This has been argued to death, and I don't mean to cause any faculty fights here.)
In Computer Science, which I don't think will be based on very much "subjective" marking, I'm sure you will be able to manage a 7. That's not to say it's easy, you will still need to do the work and be motivated. But if you're getting good marks in highschool and you like computer stuff, I think you'll be okay.

I have no idea about the business courses though.

Cool story, bro. I know it's hard to believe that people make typos, but I'm sure even your little brain can grasp that concept.

Why do you have to insult people trying to help?
Do it when they're not, at the very least, or don't do it at all.
