How hard is it to move-in by bus
Hello I was thinking how hard would it be to move-in to McMaster by the Go Bus from Square One Mississauga. I have no one to drive to McMaster and I saw that Go Bus passes to mcMaster.
So will it be a trouble moving in using the bus considering I have 2 Big Luggage cases ?
Does anyone know if the Go Bus goes to McMaster on Saturday ?

That would be the 46 I believe: http://www.gotransit.com/publicroot/...p age=1&new=Y
As for moving, I think it should be decent. It does have quite a few compartments on the bottom but I don't even think that there would be loads of students moving in by bus.

Its not hard as long as you have only 2 bags, but then the Go Bus will drop you right next to matthews and keys area so if you are supposed to move into les prince ... or mckay guess what you will have to carry those big 2 luggage bags all the way to mckay or les prince etc. so yeah
plus are you sure 2 bags are enough? for ALL your stuff? O.o

I recently came to Canada so I don't have "all" my stuff. I'll be buying stuff from Hamilton. And considering that I'm in Bates it shouldn't be a long walk to rez

I'm sure you could also just go up to some move-in people and ask for help if you need any.

I just moved in by bus a few days ago and it wasn't the greatest. But I had to take 2 different buses, so if it's just one straight ride to Mac, it's definitely do-able. But depending on the size of your bags, you might need to ask for some help getting on/getting off.

Welcome to Canada! And as people have said, it won't be too hard, especially since it's a Saturday. The space compartment should be mostly empty to accomodate your bags, plus the drivers are always willing to help!

SATURDAY ???
There is no Go Bus. You are officially in TWOUBLE, happened to me to when I was moving in first year, I moved in using the Go Train. It was hectic. Took a train from Portcredit to Aldershot, transfered from Aldershot Train to the Bus, took the Bus to Hamilton Go Station and then I took an HSR bus to Mac, I only had one bag at that time, and then I went with my friend and bought stuff from Walmart. And then whenever I would go home I would go bring more stuff.
I am sorry buddy :(

I have been using the Go bus system for the past two years, There was no Go Bus on saturdays, I guess they have finally realized that a Saturday bus is very important. The changes are effective Sept 03 so I guess its a new thing. Lucky first years. I have struggled many times due to the lack of the saturday bus.

I AGREE COMPLETELY. I totally missed the 'effective Sept 3' part. It's always so inconvenient, especially for those who commute everyday.
