Have an exam when I'm supposed to be on vacation :(
So I was supposed to go on vacation from Dec 18-24, but I have an exam on December 21st now.. (Math 1LS3).
I do not mind missing the vacation and I can get my money back no problem. However, I wouldn't mind going either, lol.
Is there anything the department can do for me? I'd rather not write it in February. Has anyone else been in this situation before? Who should I go talk too?
**Note: don't bother flaming me, it was not be who planned the vacation and this was planned a year in advance (you can't book a good vacation within 2 months of your actual vacation)**
Thanks =)

I really don't think anything can be done :(. And it's not a legitimate reason for you to defer your exam to writ eit during reading week, so that possibility is out too.. Maybe try to push it forward a few days. I know it'll be expensive and whatnot, but it's definitely better than not going at all, no?

It won't hurt you to try going to the office and trying to see what they can do but I would bet that they will tell you "too bad" since session date officially go to the 22nd. You are expected to be free till then.
Sorry you are going to miss your trip.

Your gonna have to write that exam mate. Only way to get it deferred would be for medical reasons or other major issues I assume.

If you can pass the course with skipping the exam, then skip it. Basically, if you can afford it (taking in account the dmg it'll do to ur average), then do it.

Almost every course I've taken gives an automatic fail for skipping the final

yeah I was quite surprised at it too.
Essentially I could've skipped the final and still got over 60.
