Have you seen Avatar?
I thought I should make a poll for this, since Avatar is quickly approaching the biggest movie ever mark.
Did you see it? What did you think? Would you consider it one of the best movies ever?

it was a ****ing eye-orgasm. people will indeed ***** about how it has a similar story. in other words white man comes and becomes the best of a primitive race, but it's done extremely well lol

I didn't see it. I really don't understand the whole craze (the movie doesn’t seem that appealing to me). Although I know some people who really liked the movie! I will probably end up seeing it eventually...

Didn't like it at all. I don't think I've ever had such a negative feeling towards a movie. If I knew it was that bad i would have never went to see it. Story line was bad, it actually pissed me off. There was just so much wrong with that movie. If I want to see death and destruction I can just watch CNN.
Maybe some people got into the visuals of the movie, but I can't do that if the story itself stinks:(

I didn't watch it in 3D and found the visuals fairly captivating but it took me a while to actually 'get into it'. I remember I missed the first 30 minutes of Iron Man but loved it ever since the moment I sat down. For this, I stayed focused the entire time, bracing myself for a complete mind blowing experience that I was assured I would have (perhaps it would have been better in 3D) but...it just...took a really ...REALLY long time.
I agree that the plot was not original. I liked some of the subtler reference; there was an allusion somewhere in there to the War on Terror.
I just found it hard to relate. The CGI aspect doesn't bother me as I love Disney and Pixar but, there was something missing IMO.

Haven't seen it and don't plan to - why put more money in James Cameron's pocket? lol
I really don't understand why it won Golden Globes for best picture and best director (Inglourious Basterds!).

I completely agree! It was good, but it didn't "wow" me. I think the effects were good, but even though they were very advanced, I just couldn't get into it enough to care. I saw it in 3D and I got a headache!

I loved it. Sure the story might have been a tad bit unoriginal, but the movie was awesome. Would definitely watch it again. Took me a while to get into it because I hate movies that make aliens look like different coloured humans with a random appendage added (IE star trek and every other movie ever), but other than that, liked it a lot.

Movie was good. Anyone who says they really disliked it only dislike it because it's popular and gives them something to talk about at their next party.

You two are crazy!
I saw this movie in 3D and it was one hell of an experience. The visuals were awesome. When I went to the theatre 8:00 and 9:00 were sold out last week on a Wed night! Had to see it at 10:40 and you would think not many people would go to that since the movie is around 3hrs but that was sold out too!
