Are you misunderstanding Health Studies courses (faculty of Social Sciences) or courses under the faculty of Health Sciences?

A lot of health sci graduates go on to med school. Others go into pharmacology.

As for specific courses...that I can't help you with cuz I'm not in health sci.

From the Health Sci dept. website:

Courses are geared for "physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and midwives"

"Graduate studies cover a wide-range physician residency programs and master's and PhD level training including our well-known Health Research Methodology program and a new program in biomedical engineering. All complement the Faculty's goal of providing tomorrow's health care leaders."

Quick Facts:

3,900 students in medicine, nursing, rehabilitation sciences and midwifery, as well as undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate residency programs in health sciences

10,000 alumni working in health care facilities across Canada and around the world

650 full-time faculty and more than 1,100 part-time faculty

Checkout a photo tour of the facilities:

This is true. A lot of the courses we take are designed to satisfy the premed school requirements. Most health sciences students choose to pursue medical school, and I think we have a high percentage of each year that get in (not always on their first attempt).

A lot of students also choose to pursue naturopathic medicine, speech pathology, dentistry, physiotherapy, some even choose law school. Its up to you.
