help with second year course selection
I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with understanding what I should be doing with my courses next year. Because I didn't get into the BA/BSW this year I was told by an academic advisor that I should accept the B.A in Sociology and work on that since I did get into it and then try again for Social Work next year. So I looked up the requirements for the B.A Socio and this is what it says:

30 units from the Level I program completed prior to admission to the program. (See Admission above.)
6 units SOCIOL 2S06
3 units SOCIOL 2Z03
15 units Levels II or III Sociology
36 units Electives. If not completed in Level I, a minimum of six units must be from the Faculty of Humanities and/or the Department of Religious Studies.

this is where i'm getting confused. when it comes to the 15 units of level 2 and 3 sociology does that mean I would be able to get that all done at once this year? also for the 36 electives does that mean that I can take 36 units of any course I want? Lastly, I was wondering if someone could inform me on how many units I'm expected to take this year for a full course load since I can't seem to find it.

If anyone can help me in any way that would be awesome. thanks!

You don't need to complete 15 units of level 2/3 sociology this year, you just need to have it before you graduate. You can take any course as your electives provided that you have the prerequisites for that course. A full course load is 5 courses per term (15 units per term). Hope this helps.

If SW is something you are seriously trying to pursue I would take all the Sociology credits this year so then you don't waste your electives (which I would use for SW credits) and whatever is left then use for electives if that makes sense...
