History courses as electives, good idea?
So I'm going into my final year and finally get to pick a decent amount of electives! I looked around and am really interested a few of the 2nd and 3rd year history courses. Their prerequisites are all registration in level II. I'm a science student and I've never actually taken history courses before. Can anyone elaborate on what their thoughts/past experiences are on history electives in general? I don't mind essays, just hoping they're not too intense...

Thanks in advance!

This isn't direct experience but I'm planning on taking history 3J03 this coming year! USA in the 1960s...there aren't any prereqs and it's a pretty interesting decade. I don't think it's been offered in the last few years, but there is a course outline from a while (3 years??) ago on their website.

Edit: more than three years ago... here's the link: http://www.humanities.mcmast er.ca/~history/courses/u2007_2008.html
