I had a CA of 9 in first year and didn't get accept to Bio during the normal period when they send out all the acceptances. However, a month later, the science office contacted me and said they ended up lowering the admission average and asked if I wanted to switch in. Bio usually accepts a lot of students so I would say if your CA is 8-10 you should have no problem getting in.
It is worth mentioning that even if you don't get accepted into Bio (or any other major) right away you can always fall back on Life Sci and take the bio/chem/bio chem, etc courses and switch into your desired major in 3rd year
