Honours Bio vs Honours Biochem
Hello!

I was just wondering if someone could help me understand the difference between honours bio and honours biochem in terms of content, workload, difficulty and which one would be better to go into if I am thinking about going into dentistry.

Thank you!

if you wanna go into dentistry just choose Life sci and pick courses that will give you the highest GPA, because at the end thats all the matters.

If you want to go in to dentistry, i would recommend choosing Honours Bio as it has the same 'freedom' in terms of electives and difficulty as Life Sci but if you don't end up getting into a dentistry school, a Bio major is a bit more specialized for other job prospects than Life Sci

Does anyone know the differences in workload, difficulty, etc between the two programs?

Also would people recommend biochem for someone aspiring to go into pediatric medicine?

Thank you

Only you'll know which program is better for you. Look at the individual courses required in each and make your choice that way. If something is more interesting to you, then you tend to do better in it. Bio has a ton of plant and ecology involved courses. Biochem will have more lab courses based on if you take the biomed research route or not. In the end, program choice doesn't matter, people with an English degree can go to medical school, it's your GPA and resume that make you stand out for med.
