Can someone explain to me why Marvel's Avengers is supposedly the best thing to have happened in the history of cinema? I watched it and...I didn't think it was all that good.

I'm seeing Battleship on day one and I'm neither of those...

...-and- I'll probably find it more entertaining than The Avengers.

Well, its a direct to dvd (as far as I know) CGI feature that is a direct sequel to the first movie, skipping 2 and 3... They also added more stuff from the book (you can actually hear the guy in the trailer say the line from the first chapter of the book)... Also, to be in spirit with the original movie, some of the original cast is getting involved. So far the movie sounds pretty sweet. I already rewatched all the Roughnecks Chronicles episodes just for the occasion.

my only problem is that because the movie is made in japan, they can and probably will make the characters a little anime looking. which is sad... but who knows, maybe it wont be that bad.

It sure cant get any worse than the third movie....

I really have no clue either. Not even Joss Whedon snarkiness could save this movie from generic mediocrity.

Sounds like this movie is gonna be to Starship Troopers what Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was to Final Fantasy.

Sounds like this movie is gonna be to Starship Troopers what Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was to Final Fantasy.

Not really, I mean they are going to have bugs and Rico's roughnecks killing those bugs. That's all people expect, pretty much.

Plus you know, the only reason why the first movie didn't resemble the book with space suits and all, was the budget.

I actually really liked the two previous movies, but thought The Dark Knight Rises was slow, and just bleh overall.
