you mean like from a bath room?
or there is also those make your own tea things. I know commons has one, so does the tim horton's in mdcl. I'm sure la piazza has it too (a machine that pours out hot water)

You could ask them to give it to you for free if you're just getting water. But if you can't convince them, it's probably going to cost you.

Yeeah drinkable hot water is probably only available at one of the food places. You could sneak into one of the offices in the student centre with a coffee machine. They're bound to have a pot.

Otherwise, you should carry your own kettle with you. haha

If you have your own cup and tea bag you can just get some hot water from la piazza or the union market. I've been doing it since first year and no one has ever stopped me.

Union Market for sure, I dunno bout La P because in the smaller cafe's they charge you as well, I don't think it's as much as the price of a tea though.

La Piazza charges you anywhere from 10 to 50 cents for the cup and hot water. They will charge you the full price if you get a roll up the rim cup. Depending on who is working the cash, you might also get charged if you put sugar and milk in the water... just a reminder that nothing is ever free.

Yeah..it's also hard because how do they know that it's your own tea bag/coffee, right? I know they charge you for the cup, but with your own mug it's hard to tell whether it's your own tea/coffee or theirs. I'd say Union Market is more lenient on that though.

Bring your own water and heat it up in the microwave of Union Market?
