HSR Schedule Check Charge
Hey. I just wanted to know if someone else is getting charged 20 cents a month for calling HSR Schedule Check via cell phone, or its just my luck.

So am I, yet every month I see those 20 cents on my bill. I don't know if that's supposed to be like that, or its one of Wind's shenanigans.

I used to call it all the time, never got charged for it, and I didn't have unlimited calls or anything like that.
If you're getting charged, it should be HSR ultimately getting the money, not Wind. You can try calling Wind, or looking on the HSR website to see if there's anything about getting charged.

I found out what happened. Apparently my phone called via tower in Kitchener, even though Cambridge zone is closer, and Hamilton is even closer.... And since Hamilton and Kitchener Wind Home zones are separated, they are treated as different zones, thus I get charged.... makes a whole lota sense to me.

Why I get charged just for 1 minute, when I call like 4 times a day and why calling from on Home zome to another separated by 10 kms is like calling from Hamilton to Vancouver - mystery.

Probably just you. I call it literally everyday and have never been charged.

Hey guys science chiming in here...

Over the past few days the sun has been giving off mad solar flares the past few days.

The fallout from the gamma rays resulting from the solar rays hitting our atmosphere is shifting our electromagnetic spectrum. Since the earth is slightly tilted rotates to the east, this pushes the signals from the Kitchener area to the south east, where Hamilton is.
So yeah, because of this offset your phone connected to the Kitchener cellphone tower instead of the local one.

Entropy, jim1, Swampis like this.

Contact WIND. They should reverse the charges. The charges do not come from HSR, the service is free.

I did. They said there's nothing they can do. I'm starting to hate wind. But with 20 cent overcharge vs. 15 bucks with Fido, I cant complaint.

I've never been able to 'reverse charges' of something that wasn't my fault... are you living in some sort of fantasy world or have you actually been able to do this?
