i'm in residence and can i receive package?
Hey guys
I'm gonna be in residence this year and I do realize that we can receive packages (ie, stuff from ebay).
But, is there a limit on package size?

I would appreciate a response from anyone with experience!

In the basement there is a mail room with the standard size that you see at post office. Anything bigger I think they take it to the desk at the housing office beside centro

yes you definitely can! normal sized or small things go into your mailbox, which will either be in the basement of centro, as mentioned above, or in mary keyes. it just depends on where you live! so west quad, mary keyes, north quad+LP+eddy, centro.

as for bigger packages, they send you an e-mail saying that you have a package, and you need to go with your student card to pick it up. so they make you sign on a sheet saying you picked it up.

caution: if the package is addressed to res, and it's under someone else's name, even though everything else is right, you'll get a slip from the general mailing department for all of Mac in your normal mailbox, saying you have a package, and you'll need to pick it up in the basement of the school of business. after that, they'll tell you what to do.

don't worry about ordering packages and having them send it to res. most importantly, make sure you give them your name, mailbox number, and postal code right. housing and conferences sort mail by name, if i remember correctly. for the last two years, i've had packages sent to me with no problem, ranging from printers, textbooks, to skincare products with no issues. only problems i had was when it was under someone else's name, which was when it got a bit tricky.
