Actually, when you buy a new pair of jeans (especially if they're a dark wash) you shouldn't wash them for at least three to five months after buying them to set the wash.
If they start getting rank, then Febreeze them, however, I've never had a problem with smells and I'm in month four of "setting" my Levi's 514s and Guess Corronado's.

Ah, thanks for that information. Yeah, I don't do anything crazy in my jeans so they are pretty much always clean.

Yeah, it seems like a long time. I've gone without washing for 1-2 months. I guess an extra month or two wouldn't be different.

Yeah, I was amazed when I read that in GQ, however, it makes sense. I noticed my jeans were fading way too quick than they should. When manufacturers ship out jeans, the dye isn't completely set even though many say that they're pre-washed.

Ohhh awesome. My fact of the day Thanks casey.park. That actually makes sense. And it's not like you'll wear the same pair every single day for those 3-5 months.

Yeah, it's always good to switch jeans. Everyday for 3-5months. They are bound to get dirty XD

Nice article!
And lots of things that are applicable to all students who will be away from home for the first time, too, not just international students

You know what? The college/university thing is not really a big deal! Some people in Canada can be a little sensitive about it, that's all. I have found that my European and South American relatives often call university "college" too, and in the USA it is all called "college". Maybe "post secondary" is safe?! LOL!

You had a drying rack in your residence room? One of the folding ones?

In the beginning I put it in my closet when I wasn't using it, then after I was too lazy to keep on opening and closing my closet so I just put it between my closet and my roommate's closet. Plus, I let him use it and it's easier to have it out all the time since he won't have to go through my closet.

Caledon's worse. Less to do.
