I'm willing to participate in some sort of petition if someone knows how to start one.

^ The internet at thode sucks when there's lots of people there.

Oh great. No upgrade in ITB... I have almost all my classes there including one where we need to access the internet during class for participation marks. I know there's no wifi or cell phone reception in the downstairs room but the wifi in ITB 137 is getting worse and worse.

Mac's internet this year is BRUTAL. At least last year I was able to get a wifi connection on my phone most of the time to check emails and A2L... This year, with an upgraded phone, I still can't find MacConnect 90% of the time as an available network, let alone LOGON and stay logged on...

I've lost faith in Mac's wifi, at least I now have a data plan on my phone, but its frustrating to know there is internet on most of campus, yet its inaccessible majority of the time

Not sure if they're actually going to implement this or if it's simply to placate the masses.

Alternatively (if they do), these upgrades are ambiguous: maybe they're just going to chuck bridges in everywhere and say, 'Voilà! You can now see the connection. Actual bandwidth and speed upgrades coming soon - date TBA. Sit tight'.
Disclaimer: Don't blame us if you graduate before they are implemented.

will adding more routers actually help this problem? Or is more to do with MACs internet not having the capacity to handle all the users at once?

I know adding more access point will ease the problem, but wht if the internet just cant handle it.

I'm pretty sure its just an access point issue. Even though they are enterprise level access points, they just can't handle the traffic since there are only a handful in each building. Mac's wired infrastructure is pretty good. Although it could also be that the physical infrastructure in certain buildings needs to be expanded before more access points are added.
