internet at mcmaster
suckssss , i cant get any of my work done this is crazy since the first day the internet sucked :(
ps it took me 20 minutes to post this thread at mac now

ya the internet is very very slow. i have to refresh pages multiple times to get it to open. I couldn't even open up the avenue log in window at one point.

I was having problems with the internet in Innis library today too.. it was awful. It took like 5 mintues to load one page.

Guys stop blaming Mac. Do you know how many people connect per day and for how long ????
The numbers are big and we need a strong hardware for it.
You tuitions doesn't cover the cost of Internet, computer hardware, software and the cost for UTS services. So guys stop complaining.

How do you that it doesnt cover it? If we dont pay for it then no one does...so yes we are paying for it

If ya ask me, Mac provides us with adequate internet services. What they dont provide us is with means on maintaining it and securing it.
Mac dosent have a means of controlling what students do on the internet, which they should. There are plenty of people massing their torrents.

Mcmaster gets the money from donations. That's how they bought the things.
Tuition actually pays for your courses. Only a small percentage is used by the University to make your life better and Internet is excluded from that.
