And I recently heard that theyre basically using a sweatshop to make their products.. like 30+ hour shifts for workers, making like $150 a month
You have to realize $150 is worth a lot more in China than here. I wouldn't really call Foxconn a sweat shop. I mean like, it's super intense, but they aren't forcing anyone to work there.

Got a Nexus One about a month ago. Ohmygawd it's awesome. I have had no issues with it ever. The Android Market is growing exponentially and the amount of customization is ridiculous. I almost bought an iPhone, but there's just something about them with me... I feel dirty using one.
At least my phone doesn't lose signal when you hold it normally.

I think the HTC Legend is also a good competitor.
They all fall in the same price range of ~550$

Not to be harsh, but the HTC legend was a good competitor to the iPohone 3GS, it's hopelessly outdated in comparison to the Nexus One (which is already starting to show it's age compared to the iPhone 4 and the latest Android Phones)

Steve Jobs released a statement yesterday something saying: Hold the iphone the right way!! People are holding it wrong. I guess the success is getting him cocky. Just like before he said if you wanna watch ponr (spelled it wrong deliberately) buy android, regarding the apps.

I guess i have just grown accustom to my itouch. I would much prefer an iphone.
Hoping to get it when it is released in Canada.
The android is pretty impressive, i have tried my friends, but i definitely prefer the iphone.
the evo might have more megapixel but the quality is not the same.
Apple seems to hide a lot of their specs because they are in most cases beaten my other competitors, hardware wise, but overall deliver a better product. Again this is just my opinion.
Ones man trash is another mans treasure.

Yea I know what you mean. The Evo won't lose reception if you hold it a certain way, and the evo doesnt get yellow blotches on the screen, and the evo's front and back wont shatter from a short fall.

lol. There is no point, for me atleast, to argue over which is better over the internet. Like i said its personal preference. For the same reason someone likes apples more than oranges i like apple more than android
blotches = bonding agents cause of early shipment.
glass = if you drop any phone(unless its one of them bricks), it has a good chance its gonna break.
signal = a lot of phones are like that, and it is mostly in the U.S.

Sure everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if you like the asthetics more than other things then that may lead you to like the iPhone 4 more. However, saying that the iPhone is a better phone in terms of engineering is a faulty statement.

Fair, but its something Apple should have recognized this and delayed shipment on those.

Yes with any phone you can crack the screen by dropping it. But, since the iphone's back and front are glass it is much more prone to cracks. Not only that, but the specific type of glass they are using for the iPhone 4 is much more prone to shattering than other glass typically used on phones.

Now dont go around making false claims. I have not heard of any phone that loses all reception when held in a specific way. Actually, its not really about holding it a specific way, all you have to do is make contact between two of the antenna bands on the left side. Its really as simple as that.

This is why you wait before you buy a product like this. And Steve Jobs can shove it, "hold it the right way" -- I mean, really? Fail.
