And "larger display" being a "good" thing is also an opinion. I played with an SGS2 at Futureshop yesterday and I still feel that iOS is more responsive than Android. Even though that SGS2 could open apps ridiculously fast and loaded webpages with a stupid amount of speed, it often ignored swipes on the home pages and taps on app icons. I don't really care if your web browser opens in half the time as mine and loads pages twice as fast if I need to try tapping on it six times to get it to come up...

Nice. This is what I was looking for. Looks like these 2 phones are neck and neck in terms of performance. And the SGS2 is $50 cheaper ($600 vs $650).

I'm guessing the new SGS2 LTE (1.5 GHz) will trump both of these phones which will be $650 on Rogers.

LOL:

"Lets load up the calendars"

*Calendars come up at EXACT same time*

"That looked like the Galaxy S to me"

Because clearly this guy is running a controlled test...

In the "real world" when your phone is glass on the front and back you keep a case on it.

I have dropped my iPhone 4 several (more than several) times and there is not one scratch or crack on any part of my phone.

Gotta love the android fanboys just trying to find ways to make their phones look better. Lets talk about usability, accessibility, and optimization of the operating system on the phone.

Better yet, lets not talk about those things, since this thread is about the iPhone 4S.

Cases are ugly, and they cover up that sexy stainless steel band.
Leave your phones naked people, the designer made them look good for a reason.

P.S. I never drop my phone. I'm really careful with my electronics.

android is a pree cool guy; open sourced, highly variable, makes applesauce, has high market share and doesnt afraid of nobody

There are 3 types of people in teh world... apple fanbois, devoted intelligent android fans, and people who hate apple products (last two not necessarily mutually exclusive)

They are both amazing phones for different purposes, stop arguing ffs.

Android is open source and has customizability giving up a little performance and stability, iOS has little customizability but is a lot more stable and gives you more for its hardware. They are both meant for different audiences.

S2 : 1.2Ghz, 1GB
iPhone 4S : 800Mhz, 512MB

I personally like my iPhone because I don't have to worry about anything, everything 'just works' (no pun intended) It just does work.

there has been a lot of apples vs. competitors (whether operating systems for computers, or android vs. bb vs. android) and unfortunately they always end this way :(

Swype is not an opinion, it's an option and a brilliant one that iOS doesn't have.

Are you really arguing about this?

It is like arguing what the default wallpapers are on each OS (Clearly iOS has the better ones)

Does iOS even have Live Wallpapers?
And I doubt anyone actually uses Swype...its a pretty slow way to type.

HTC phones have the best looking theme hands down. It is the most common theme downloaded onto the iPhone and other Android phones. (i.e. flipclock/weather widget).

I had swype on my jailbroken iPhone 4. Your point is now invalid.

You had to go out of way to access a broader selection of features for your phone which your manufacturer strongly frowns upon, and tries to prevent to do it, your point is invalid-er.
