You sound like someone who is relatively new to downloading music. Don't touch Limewire or any p2p programs. These programs are all too often loaded with malware.

Torrents are the safest and most efficient way to download anything - have someone who knows what they are doing show you how to use torrents and the associated software.

As for which iPod... it sounds like the Nano is for you. My collection is over 130gb, and I own an iPod Classic, which is appropriate for my needs.

Currently have a iTouch.. pretty good cuz of internet, big touch screen, apps, etc. but the storage space for songs is less and iTouch is pretty expensive..

I would go with an iPod Nano if I were you. Nice and small, has a camera unlike iTouch 8gB or 16gB, decent storage space, and cheaper!!

If music is the only functionality you want, then maybe you should look into used older iPod models. I personally think the third generation iPod has the nicest design. Literally zero moving exterior components (aside from the hold switch). They go used for as little as thirty dollars.

Used iPod minis can also be upgraded to 32 GB flash for around 80 dollars :p.

iTouch is great (almost like an iPhone). You can actually use it as a phone too with skype but just gotta buy a mic and attach it on top.

I usually use emp3world for individual songs, and i rarely download full albums.
