Issue With Level 3 Program
So today I found out I got accepted to Biology Pharmacology Co-op and still need to complete the biology 2a03 requirement. The issue is the only two courses I was going to register for Biology 235 at Athabasca and SCS 2519 at UFT would each provide me with the credit I needed but, as I was about to register last month I decided to check the equivalency again and they changed it last minute, at this point all the other equivalent courses were way past the registration dates. I've gone to the Academic Advisors and they are just terrible. Is there anything else I could do or anyone else I should talk too? Any advice would be appreciated.

Which equivalency are you talking about? Bio235 or SCS2519? When I took bio235, they considered it equivalent to bio2a03.

They no longer count bio 235 as an equivalent. I'm going to try and call them and see if they will still do it since they changed it last minute this year. Btw do you think the course can be completed in 2-3 months?

you can take it during your third year (as part of tht elective spot), and get a waiver. For these cases, it usually works out. They gave you the acceptance, they're not going to take it back for something like tht..

For biopharm it's different, 2A03 is a prereq for courses that you must take in third year. So yes, they could take it "back" for something like that. It's a conditional acceptance.

That said, it's definitely worth talking to them to see if there are other options.

Is it possible for you to link me to where it says that Bio 235 is not equivalent anymore?
I'm in the same predicament and based on the pre-approved equivalent courses list (which doesn't seem to be updated) I was planning on registering for it.

Wasn't looking forward to talking with academic counselors but guess I'll have to...

Sure thing, do you mind PMing me, we can work this out together 2 is better than 1. I hate talking to the counselors they really don't help too much.
