January Start
I was a first year student at McMaster, but I had to withdraw early on in the semester due to a medical issue. I dropped all my courses and was refunded my tuition and residence costs. I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible for me to start again in January. I logged into solar and it still has my student number displayed and was letting me choose courses. I'm not sure if that means I'm allowed to register or not. I'll probably call the registrar's office Monday but I was hoping someone here might know something.

Thanks in advance.

You should be allowed to register for courses, but whether or not you can actually start your program in January depends on what program you're in. For example, chem 1A03 is only offered in first term, and 1AA3 is offered in second term but requires 1A03 as a pre-req. Therefore, if those were two of your required courses, you will not be able to take them this year; the earliest would be the summer. If your program has a lot of courses like that, then a January start may not be feasible.

you can def jump back into it, you'll just have to do summer school to catch up. Do chem 1a03/1aa3 during the summer
