I would love to, but I don't have the money right now (Starving Student Millet Hybrid sounds misleading), nor do I have any experience working with circuitry. (hoping to gain some knowledge on this after first-year eng )

The FiiO E10 is a USB DAC/amp combo, and yes I have the device set to high gain.

By no means is the E10 lacking in volume, but some small details/vocals in songs that I've noticed before from other headphones are rather lacking and unpronounced with the HD600s.

I've spoken to multiple people and researched about this and they've pretty much reached a consensus on the E10 being suitable for lower impedance headphones. I'm going to head down to the Headfoneshop in the next week or two to audition some amps/DACs. Charles (the owner) is a pretty cool guy to talk to if you're looking to buy locally.

And I'm going to have to refuse your offer , my next big buy will probably be my last (law of diminishing returns man).

Not to mention I was browsing some headphone pages on FB and apparently a student at mac has LCD-3's O:

I find headphones do nothing for me. Earbuds are fine for anything I've ever needed and are compact and out of the way enough to give those benefits. I own a corsair 1500 for gaming (usb) and voice chat and find it good enough. Was on sale for like <50$ I believe.

That doesn't sound like a canned speach by a Sony representative/bot at all. Nope.
