Kinesiology and biology night school
Hello! I'm a grade 12 student and im interested in mcmaster's kinesiology for next year because i love human anatomy etc and I want to be a physiotherapist. The thing is, im not an athletic person yet the stigma is that most kin students are athletic...i know this doesnt matter too much but is this true for mac's kin classes? Would a non-athletic person feel out of place?

Also, i'm planning to take biology for night school because..well..my school's one and only biology teacher is very difficult to understand, which can damage my average. Do you guys think that night school is a good choice or will i be lacking the base knowledge that i'll need for kinesiology? My main dilemma is really either higher grade (night school) vs deeper understanding on topics (day school)

What do you guys think?

no, you wont feel out of place in kin if you arent athletic.

and night school for bio wont leave you without a knowledge of bio in uni. most kids forget everything after hs. i know i did. i just relearned it during the school year.

andreall says thanks to Silver for this post.

I'm in Kin and I'm not athletic at all! I only started working out after first year because I gained a ton of weight haha. Don't worry, a ton of people in the program aren't athletic.

As for night school, I would say take it in day school because night school classes don't go in depth with the material and tend to cram everything. My grade 12 biology teacher wasn't easy to understand either, I just read the textbook and took my own notes so you can try that.

Haha cool! I think I'd start working out too just to improve my lifestyle I see that this is your second year, would you mind sharing how your first year was? Were you in res? If so, how was it? Were the profs helpful? From your own experience, how difficult was first year compared to grade 12?

Okay I will try my best during day school!
