kinesiology courses
hey guys,

i m interested in taking some kin courses. i took the first year kin courses (1y03/1yy3)...i really want to take kine 2c03/2cc3 and 2e03...but these courses are specific to only the kin students. i m not in the program. is there a possibility where i can negotiate with the prof teaching the course to allow me to take these courses. (what if i have a very high mark in kin 1y03/1yy3 and i happen to be an overall good student)...any chance???

No you can't. They're only open to kin students because there's limited space, and sometimes upper year kin who have done badly have to redo it. No room for outsiders

Kin 2E03... doubt it.

Kin 2C03/2CC3... a bit more likely.

Never hurts to ask.

Lots of people took this course. It's lots of common sense if you know anything about psychology, and there is a LOT of material. It can get dry at times, but IMHO Cipriano is a great prof. It's hard to teach how to coach... If you're in it to learn how to coach? Not so good. If you're interested in the psychology behind how to coach, then it's worth it.

I personally liked it, but I know lots of people who got fed up with the course material.

On the subject of second year kin courses, you'll have to ask the profs. 2C and 2CC are good courses overall.

What are you talking about? :/ Only first year courses are Kin-specifc, but there's a lot of upper year Kin courses open to others including:
Kin 3A03, 3DD3, 3G03, 3JJ3, 3M03, 3P03, 3S03, 3SS3, 3T03, 3V03, 4P03, 4T03..
@ OP- Check here for the specific requirements. Some courses require you to be in Bio (Physio spec) like 2C03 and 2CC3, others you can be in Psych, and a few require Sociol 1A06 and there are some which just require you to be in a certain level. So definitely check out the ones you're interested in and try contacting them for a seat anyway if you're not in Kin. It can't hurt to ask

Second year kin courses other than 2C03/2CC3 (which are pretty much open to only a select few others) are Kin only as well.
