I have no experience with either however mcKay is a very good phys prof. He has taught 1e03, 2e03 2d03 for years and is very well experienced.
okon is new faculty members and may not be good . Kliemen is the only engineering physics prof for that course.

I've had Kleiman multiple times before, he's a good prof. Though he is a better prof for the courses that he specializes in, such as eng phys 3md3. He does say "um" a lot, which is annoying at first, but its not that bad.
I've never had Okon, so I can't compare, but I did like having McKay as a prof before.

The reasonable student will tell you McKay is a good prof. He communicates the concepts well, but if certain voices are hard for you to sty awake to, then he has one of those voices. But His voice DOES communicate the lecture about as well as Okon... Maybe Okon uses more jokes, but McKay isn't a stranger to humour either.

Go with Okon and you won't be disappointed. I had Kleiman and tbh I found him to horrible at lectures due to the fact that he read the slide word for word and also said uhm a lot. However at explaining concepts one on one and for marking purposes, no one beats him. He is the head if i am not mistaken for a reason. The guy is a freaking genius. However go with Okon since he is much better in lectures.

I've had all three of those professors, and I've had McKay and Kleimann twice. Kleimann is an excellent professor but is more suited to higher level courses that are his specialty, such as Engineering Physics 2QM3 (quantum) and 3MD3 (microdevices). His lecturing style can be a little bit dry but he is very helpful and always willing to answers questions. McKay is also a decent professor but I found him less clear in his answers to questions, and sometimes seems to get lost in his own lecture (always going back to figure out where he forgot a minus sign). For first year physics I would recommend Okon. He's young, energetic, and very knowledgeable. He will keep you engaged and is likely to provide the best overall experience.
