The thing that I find really odd is the fact that we have a million chemistry labs but the fires occurring has nothing to do with a chemistry lab. As far as I know. I mean last school years fire was by a student.

I think there was an ether fire the year before the Brandon Fire in one of the Chem labs, although that's just something I heard. Someone who was a student then would have to confirm though.

I remember at 1:30 I was falling asleep in Keyes, and ....around 2 or a while later I woke up to a very loud noise. I was completely dazed and had no clue what it was and just blinked for a while wondering how I'd know if I had to leave (there was nobody around) and it stopped so I fell back asleep. This is what it was.

Yep...ABB was closed for several hours, but was up and running by the next day.

I think 2 years ago there was also a fire in JHE. A TV in one of the microscope rooms caught on fire. I don't remember the extent of the damage but I'm pretty sure they ended up having to redo the room that it was in.

Oh my goodness. I hope everyone is okay.
But if the fire was in the basement, and you can see it by standing outside in the quad, it must have been pretty bad right??

It was this really long drone...like machinery, and it was definitely from outside and the sound reverberated. It was very strange.

I find it weird that there isn't anything about this on the daily news site either...
it seems like McMaster likes to get set on fire lol

Yeah..
It's so funny when McMaster never puts up any negative news on their daily news......... NEVER.. until something gets really serious.. like the Brandon Hall fire.. I think it was on the McMaster daily news after a few days after the fired happened, and they posted right away when they knew who did it............

How come the ground looks like it's caving in?
Wouldn't a fire have to be HUGE/extremely hot to start burning away like.. cement?
