Laptop Ideas/Suggestions
I have been doing some research, but still having trouble picking a laptop. I have had some computer literate friends telling me to go with an AMD processor, but I know more about Intel. So pretty much I was gonna ask if anyone had suggestions for a laptop with these requirements:
Large screen
Good graphics
Fast processor
Good battery life
Under $1000
If anyone can provide more info or a link for some models, whether it be a Canadian or American site (going to US, don't mind getting it there) I'd appreciate it.

I wanted to spend around 600-800 to get something really good, but Im gonna keep looking at the site but thanks a lot particle!

Definitely go with 15inches and under, bigger than that is way too big.

-> NOT amd lol. If you want these you go intel
AMD is used in budget systems or in high end gaming machines (due to no socket changes and OC). Intel owns everything else.
Stay away from HP, low quality dells etc

You wont! These computers will almost always die after 2 year then ur back to spending another $800 in two years...ie $1600 for 4 years
-Toshibas are hit and miss. If you get a good one, ur good for 4 years at <$800. If u get a bad one then ur buying a new one real soon.
-Lenovo likely makes the best laptops. Asus is good too but doesnt have the same warranty (upgraded) or build quality. Asus is usually cheaper for the parts you get though.

For the price you're buying those tiny ipad-sized tablets you're better off buying just an equivalent specs (or better) personal computer. |
