Last Day to Pay for Summer 2010 classes?
So basically, I'm taking two courses for the whole summer. One per each term. I agreed for the courses on the payment agreement but I want to hold off on paying it for a while. I applied for a couple of full-time summer jobs and there are a few interviews lined up. If I get these jobs, I can't do the courses but incase I don't get it, I want to atleast finish of these courses.

So I was wondering what is the last day for me to pay for the summer courses? Or what is the last day for me to drop a course and get the full refund back. In the sessional dates, it shows the last date to drop a course without getting an automatic failure. Will you get a full refund on these dates as well?

Thanks in advance.

There are 2 actions, dropping and cancelling. Dropping results in a full refund while cancelling costs a certain % depending on the time of cancellation.

The drop/add deadline for term 2 is June 25.

You should note that interest accrues at the end of each month, so you should actually pay for your course and if you drop you will get a refund, otherwise you will have to pay the interest even if you drop the course.

But when is the last actual day we can pay for a summer course? Like, are we still allowed to write the exam if we haven't paid yet?

I don't think anything is stopping you from writing the exam, but it'll most likely be the same as the fall/winter term where you won't be getting your marks.

Also, just for your information. Interest is calculated at the end of the month on amounts owing. It's not like the bank where they calculate it every day and then tell you at the end of the month. So the smart thing to do is pay a couple days before the end of the month to reduce interest charges and increase amount of money you have on hand at the time.
