Leafs vs Habs
The one and only place to trash each other!
Yes, Leafs vs Habs. As in Leafs are always before the Habs.

I'm a really bad Canadian, I only recently figured out why the Montreal Canadians are called "habs". As in Habitant farmers. Yeah I know, commence shunning.

I hope Komisarek crushes them. Although once we play Boston, I have a feeling Komi will be hiding in a corner.

Thanks Jeremy for creating this thread.
Matthew, I do agree with you that Leafs Management is terrible (as you said on the other thread). They have no reason to make the team better. The seats are always sold out and Maple Leafs merchandise is selling like hot cakes. Why spend money to make a team better when you’re making a load of money?
HOWEVER, I truly think Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment is now steering the ship in the right direction. We now have a SMART hockey man as our GM, Brain Burke and a respectable coach, Ron Wilson. Have you seen what we've done this off season? We signed Orr, Komisarek, Beauchemin, GUSTAVSSON, and we locked up Grabovski. Our blue line is nearly invincible and best of all, we're going be a tough team to play against. I truly think we’re going be a playoff team this year.
On the other hand, Le Club de Hockey Canadien made some terrible off season moves. Gomez? Spacek? Gill? Gionta? Mara? I’m sorry but honestly they could have done much better with all the money they had. I like the Cammalleri signing, but other than that, it was a terrible off season for the Habs. It's sad - the Habs are more focused on their ownership problem rather than trying to build an awesome team. Oh well.
Oh yeah, before I forget....
GO LEAFS GO!!!

Matthew, stop posting all this YouTube crap about how the Leafs suck. I can find much more YouTube videos about how the Habs suck. We'll just see on Oct. 1 when the Leafs face the Habs.
