Yeah I'll probably stick to Java for this year. Maybe take the Fortran class next year. Though I was looking around online and many people are saying that Fortran is a dead language and that time shouldn't be wasted learning it. Anybody else agree with this or think this is true?

If you're new to Programming, I suggest you learn C than C++ or Java . C may not be easy for new programmers but it gives you the foundation to be able to master Java, C++ and other like languages.

Python is easy to learn. You could learn it too.
