I think it was because they never really explained what the new system would be fully. It was kind of confusing and almost seemed like they rushed it, so people probably just chose to vote for what they understood when the time came.

The Toronto Star is liberal. It supported the NDP in the federal election and McGuinty in the provincial one Here.

I'm not even going to get into the rest of it... your opinions are so ridiculous you make even the Macinsiders trolls looked nuanced and skilled.

Most people didn't even know there was a referendum until they got to the polls. And those who did weren't exactly sure what it was about. They did run commercials for it, but they didn't really explain what proportional representation was, just kept saying 'don't forget there's a referendum.'

hey you dummie, I was using the comments section of the paper to show what most of these ppl think, and from the user names it's not hard to see how very white and anti immigrant/spending they are, IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE ACTUAL ARTICLE.

1.By your standards, an given Youtube video is as racist and anti-immigration as you say Conservatives are. Youtube is also anti-gay apparently, as it likes to use certain slurs.
