Life Sci major - Teachable?
I was wondering, if I were to go to teacher's college after I complete my undergrad, by majoring in Life Sciences, could I use that as a teachable? I've been hearing "yes" and "no" so I wanted to check it out with you guys

each teachers college program is different in regards to teachables. i've never heard of life sciences as a teachable but certainly, the courses you take in life sciences can count for teachables such as biology etc. it is best to look up each program individually and see what they require.

My grade 12 bio teacher went to Mac for life sci and went to Teacher's College the year after he graduated. So I guess it's doable.

by completing a degree in life science you will probably complete credits in biology, biochem, math, chem along the way

in order to teach at the junior/intermediate level you need one teachable
to teach intermediate/senior you need two teachables

examples of courses that count towards different teachables:

University of Ottawa - pages 6, 4

University of Toronto

http://www.ouac.on.ca/teas/teas-schools/

for most school in Ontario you need to have 10 courses in your first teachable and 6 courses in your second teachable
