After watching a lovely little something on T.V. this afternoon, I had an idea (while being bored and not wanting to do my work) to start a thread here about the simple things in life that make it quite wonderful for us at times.
So, the idea is to list simple, everyday things in life that YOU enjoy - things that make life pleasurable for you.
I'll start off:
I enjoy:
- reading the newspaper on a quiet Saturday morning
- being alone at home and turning up the music really loud
- looking at old photographs
- hearing someone speak French
- listening to old songs while looking out a window and seeing the scenery go by
- hot chocolate with whipped cream on a cold winter night
Ha, I could go on and on...
List yours!

Nighttime walks
Going for a walk through/exploring a forest
Spending time with my cousin's two adorable young kids
Playing piano/saxophone/guitar in an empty house
Singing along with music in the car
London fogs (delicious drink--earl grey tea, vanilla flavour shot and steamed milk)
Falling asleep to a thunderstorm outside
Finding the Orion constellation
Seeing a rainbow (actually, pretty much anything rainbow-coloured...doesn't HAVE to be a real one, although those are better!)
I'm up at 4:30-5:00 every morning and get to see raccoons. It absolutely makes my day. The influx of blue jays, cardinals, robins, sparrows, rabbits, and stray cats always warms my heart. And I pet the cats most times too. Nothing makes me happier.

I'm not sure if you've ever been to the GO terminals at Square One but today there was the sweetest bunny there, eating grass. It was funny because he trying to be very inconspicuous and hide behind things so that people wouldn't notice him. It was hilarious because ..he was doing a terrible job at it. He spent about 10 minutes on an open patch chomping away while staring at everything.

Oh my, that's adorable! Reminded me of a similar experience

Warm blankets on a cold day, or warm blankets when the AC is turned on
Walking. I'll walk anywhere, I just need my orthotics in so that my feet don't feel like they're turning into lead. I avoid public transit and cars as much as I can.
A nice pair of sneakers.
Chemistry. (Yes, it made the list)
Good music through even better speakers or headphones.
An Osmow's shwarma.
Any airport or watching/hearing planes fly overhead. (I do not ever. EVER. pretend they are shooting stars. I accept they are planes and move on.)
Colour
Time, spent with the people that matter, no matter how mundanely
Walking anywhere in the morning right after the first fresh snow, before the hundreds of cars in our cities decide it looks better brown.
Summer thunderstorms especially after a hot day walking around.
Strawberries
A GO Bus ride in the early morning when you can just stare out and appreciate the world
A nap on the Hamilton Hall desks
T shirts
A cup of coffee brewed by my brother
Staying up to watch snow falling at 3 AM or lightning at 2.
Being able to watch a sunset or a sunrise
Flying; Schiphol airport and enjoying a quiet moment at any airport.
Sitting on the curb
Reading John Steinbeck at my grandfather's place in Abu Dhabi with a good cup of grandma brewed coffee
These four songs are pretty much the only acid trips I would ever need: Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill
Coldplay - Clocks.
(My musical library is more diverse than that. Those are just the ones that I hold especially dear.)

Nice list!
I totally agree with you about the GO bus rides. I also love reading my book while on the GO train.
More random things I like:
- the feeling that you get after finishing a really good book so that you don't want to read anything else after a while
- dipping my finger in hot, liquid wax and the feeling of it solidifying
- the earthy smell of old books
- the characteristic smell of new books
- spending time in the video store looking for movies to rent
- wearing oversized, warm, freshly washed t-shirts after a shower
- walking on a street just after it has rained when everything is fresh and dewy
- finishing a work of art
- sleeping with the blankets full up over your head
- finding it really easy to talk to an old friend after many years

Haha, how the hell do you find these things Toast?
et pour moi:
- sleeping with the window open in the summer time and realizing I'm not cold
- waking up just as the sun is rising, with my window open and realizing I'm not cold
- hitting every single note of my favourite song on the guitar
- the 9 minutes of bliss I experience when blasting "The Legacy" by Iron Maiden while driving (during the summer with the windows open, of course)
- falling asleep at the beach
...I like summer =)

I love...
waking up in the morning and hearing nature instead of cars.
the sense of accomplishment when you finish a really hard workout.
waking up without an alarm.
walking into an arena when there's no one else there, and seeing the fog hanging over the ice.
