Local Indian Restaurants
Looking for recommendations on any local Indian restaurants. Don't care much for service or decor, as I will be taking-out. My main concern is regarding food quality.

Shenai is alright. My personal favourite is Himalaya (located near Eastgate mall), which is a bit of a bus ride, but worth it.

Shenia was closed till 5pm so I took a drive over to Himalaya. Great food, but was disappointed that its strictly vegetarian. Guess ill have to try Shenai next time.

Being Indian myself, I have to say that Himalaya is the only one (of the few Indian restaurants I've been to) that doesn't make their food too bland or mild.

Hmm that is a valid point. Is there anything on the menu that isn't curry?
I want to expand my cultural experience but I'm not a fan of heavy curry.

Try the samosas at Himalaya, pretty common Indian food but they make really good ones.

I don't really like Himalaya since it's only vegetarian.
Best Indian restaurant in Hamilton would have to be Modern India Buffet. They offer take-out as well.
Menu can be found on this site, but might be old since they relocated like a year ago. Yellowpages for ph# as well as google maps to find the place
p.s. I'm Indian so this is like expert advice

You should go out to dinner at the place I recommended a few mins ago!
Make it a buffet and go crazy on all the non-curry stuff (not a fan of curry either).
Unless it's butter chicken

Man, 'Indian' food in Hamilton is just Punjabi food. No fun to be had for the tastebuds
