Lost student card
hey...
soo. I lost my student card last thursday.
I was wondering where to go get a new one.
also.. should I have canceled my old one? If so... how should I do it?
And how much does it cost to replace the card? 30$?

Thanks

If you're living in rez and have a meal plan, cancel it right away. It's a good idea to cancel it even if you don't live on rez. You can deactivate it here: http://hospitality.mcmaster. ca/mea...mealplans.html if not, just call them. Yes, it costs $30 for a new card.

I don't have any money on it as I used it up last year and I live off campus. So the registrar's office? where is that? =P

Thanks!

The Registrar's office is in Gilmour Hall, right by the student centre!
I can't remember the room number, unfortunately, but it's not that hard to find.

I was lucky when I lost my student card, someone had found it and brought it to a library.
Before asking for a new one, make sure they check to see if someone had brought yours in... it's possible, if you lost it on campus.

Good luck!!

Check with the security office, compass and commons housing and conference services. People often drop it off at those places.
Best of luck!

Compass gives them to the office of the registrar

Security services does not take student cards they send them to the office of the registrar. Also if you go to get a new student card, do you get it right away?

Yes you get it right away.
They charge the $30 (not $40) to your student account. but it takes about 24h to transfer everything if you stuff on it like the meal plan or a balance.
