And I think it's pretty backwards to assume the kind of people that post information about events that many of us put together and run would not follow through.

I guess we have like a poll to see which days people can come, or like an event on Facebook or something - chance to add people too if they want.

I would suggest two weeks after welcome week considering everyone is usually sick after welcome week (well, a lot of reps at least), really tired and so that our voices have returned. I'd be down though. It doesn't need to be anything too formal either. Yet, I don't think it should be at a bar because it does exclude first year students who also use this forum.

Agreeeed! This time, we can get more and more people to show up. I prefer the 2 weekends following WW too. It would work out for most people that way.

Hrm. So, then, the weekend of 25/26th of September, and the 2/3rd of October? (We were planning on two weekends) Pretty far from now but, gives a lot of time.

When it gets closer to the date, someone should make a proper announcement =/

That sounds good. Although, I don't know if I can go since it's still so far away, but so far so good.

I'm so bad at planning things :S Now I remember why I'm a hermit. lol

Let's see...So why don't we do one on the weekend immediately following welcome week (and the reps can abstain from attendance, or attend and just rest and relax (: ) and then one nearer to the end of the month, this time on a weekday, like I dunno, a Thursday...ish? Thursday Sept 24th? Or if we did Friday night, then we wouldn't have to worry about getting home at a timely hour.

So a bar is out...how about the games room on the 24th (ish), we can have us a good old fashioned set of...pool games?

I guess it depends on interests. I myself would be content just sitting around at a table with some food, maybe a beer depending on minors in attendance, and just chatting.

If we don't have more than say, 10 people on the earlier date, we could do All-You-Can-Eat Sushi?

Personally, I'm not concerned about planning 'too many days' because it just means a couple of us can chill more than once, if it happens to be a flop. We'll have at least one or two awesome get-togethers, digital cameras and all.

All you can eat sushi...

Well it depend on how comfortable people feel about taking the bus with people they barely know and spending $20+

I like how you think Mike. All-you-can-eat sushi would be great with a smaller group.

Other than that, games room or the new E. I say we try to show some support for E and if we go on a weekday that is not a club night we should be okay for minors right?

If theres more than say 10 people, it might be nice to go somewhere we aren't forced to sit down like in a restaurant. So I'd say games room is good for that so we can all mingle.

Sushi is... an acquired taste of which I have yet to acquire.

This games room place sounds good, so does Boston Pizza or something.
