Like Alvand said, you can work on-campus for the MSU. If you don't mind working off-campus, then you can get a job at a fast-food joint or something like that.
I personally work for McDonald's, and have been working for them for more than four years now. There's a stigma surrounding working for McD's, but there's nowhere else I can work 25 hours a week around my classes, and all of my extra-curriculars (and I have a lot of these...) + social life.
Jobs are easy to find... If you're going into first-year though, I wouldn't recommend getting a job unless you have to. The transition to University work and a balanced lifestyle can be quite challenging for many first-years, and an unnecessary part-time job could make your life very difficult.

I agree with that...I wasn't thinking of getting a job for those reasons precisely.
Maybe in the summer? Where do we go for those and what sort of opportunities are there?
P.S thanks guys for the advice

Getting a job in the summer begins in February. Look everywhere because competition goes up 1000%.
Start with OSCAR, talk to family, friends, put out resumes EVERYWHERE. Remember, a lot of it is who you know.
Maintain a good relationship with your professors; especially those who specialize in subject you are interested in. If you're lucky, you could work for one of them, or at the very least volunteer for them.

Slumber Party > Sleep > Party
Of course it's the number one step, no sleep means you can't function means you can't work means you can't make $$$$$$

I fall asleep at my desk all the time at work. They still pay me.
Getting paid to sleep > Slumber party > Sleep > Party

It's about the only perk I get after 7 years at my job, sadly :/
And I didn't even notice that that was bringing it back on topic
