When can you officially start registering for spring/summer courses, and how many courses can you take I heard you can take a total of 4, meaning 2 in spring and 2 in summer is this correct...

Hi, yes that is correct. The maximum amount of courses you can take each term is two each. This is probably due to that fact that the course load can get quite difficult to manage if students take more than two, but as far as I know you can take two for the spring term and two for the summer term. The registration for spring/summer courses usually begin during April.

If i remember correctly, registration for summer school begins in march. You can only take 2 courses each term. You might want to take a look at this: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /regis...sessional.html
You might find it useful since you're thinking about summer school.

you can take 2 per term but if you wish to take more you can speak with the academic adviser and they can open another selection option for you if you're grades are high enough.

If I take one course in a term, am I considered as a part time student?
Or do I have to take two each term in the summer?

Load in Spring/Summer Session: If you wish to take more than 12 units in the Spring/Summer Session, or more than six units in either term of that Session, you may do so only with the permission of the Office of the Associate Dean of your Faculty.
This are the requirements by university policy.
