But you don't get to pick those right now. All you do now is pick your courses. You'll get to pick your tutorial/lab/lecture times in August

You pick a single core and a single tutorial.

You don't pick them right now though, they open up in August.

One core selection will encompass all the lecture days you need to attend.

One tutorial selection will encompass all the tutorial days you need to attend.

Don't worry about it too much, you'll get a schedule to follow later on anyway.

Haha right now for course registration, all you do is pick your courses. That's it. You pick the times for your lectures/labs/tutorials in August. SOLAR will randomize your timetable and if you don't like it, you can change it.

And about the number of tutorials, it should only be one per course. Most courses have three lectures a week, with one tutorial and maybe a lab component.

Yea, don't waste your time planning your timetable for hours like I did last year, you have plenty of time

Depends on the program/courses. For first year Life Sci, I would say it's pretty competitive for labs/tutorials, seeing as how many students there are in that program

Probably not, seeing as they fit up to 300 people in the cores, depending on the course.

Lol I'm glad I'm not a first year anymore.

SOLAR is confusing as hell up until you actually see it and pick your courses.

Have fun

Lol be glad you're being confused by SOLAR, it means you successfully got onto MUGSI.

I wish someone had told me last year that picking times weren't until August, I spent an entire day trying to make the "best" timetable based on profs, classroom locations etc.

I totally most certainly haven't spent the past 4 weeks working out a master timetable and most definitely did not just learn that picking times weren't until august. Can you imagine if i did that?
