So i know that classes start on the Thursday which would be lectures and such-I also assume we do not need to attend the tutorials on thursday and Friday-but is there a particular day that the tutorials start or will each prof notify us?

They'll tell you in each class.

Same goes for labs! Sometimes tutorials/labs don't start until the 3rd/4th week of class, and it's different for each class.

usually tutorials and labs dont start till the following monday or the week after. HOWEVER, some professors will use a tutorial section as a lecture if they feel like it so I recommend going to tutorials on thurs/fri unless a professor says otherwise
