Math 1K03
Has anyone taken this course? I can't seem to find it in Course Reviews. If you did, how hard was it, how much work is involved, etc etc.. Thanks!

This class is not very hard. I haven't taken it but my friend has and the material is super easy. It is probably the easiest math class you can take at mac. I see you are in economics, I suggest you take math 1F03 and then take math 1M03. You can do well in these courses if you work at them. I would suggest you take math 1m03 because it teaches you how to do partial derivatives, which you will use when taking upper year econ courses. Calc in upper year courses are pretty easy, with the exception of Econ 3G03 and 4th year Econs (not including 4A03), but it is always good to have a good math background. BUT i would advise you to take math 1F03 for sure

Gorn says thanks to rpg51 for this post.

I'm not sure I want to do Econ yet... that is the plan as of now, though. If I decide I want to continue with it, then I would take MATH 1M03 next year concurrently with Intermediate Macroeconomics II... it recommends that on the McMaster website, apparently.

I'm just nervous to take this course because I'm not very good at Math (other than Stats and Data).

I did that, personally I hated math 1M03. Lozinski was the course coordinator and my professor was Moore. They were not on track with each other at all. You're better off learning from the textbook and do all the practice tests that are posted. Taking this with 2G03 is not a problem at all, most of the math related material in 2G03 is from 1K03, so its not bad overall.

Good luck
