Math 1LS3 or 1A03?!
Seriously? I just got an email from Mac saying that I can choose between Math 1LS3 and Math 1A03 for my mandatory math course. Why this late? What the heck am I suppose to choose and based on what?

If anyone has taken either of these courses (or at least has an idea about them), can you please leave your recommendations here. Also, what are the differences between them?

This question has been addressed in a ton of other threads. Math 1LS3 focuses more on biological applications while Math 1A03 is more for those focused on physical sciences. For more elaborate info:

basically comes down on how hard you want to try this year... 1LS3 is literally grade 12 retaught, whereas 1A03, I've been told you learn some new things, and have more things that go towards your mark...

I'd choose 1LS3, less stress, 3 midterms and an exam = fun and easy.

It's actually 4 midterms, but they take your best 3

I got the email as well, since they changed the MedRadSc 1A03 core, you can now take Math 1LS3 in term 1, which wasn't possible before.

However, you should have already chose one by now regardless...
