McMaster Grad to be Canada's Flag Bearer for 2008 Olympics!

It's always exciting to see McMaster graduates go on to achieve big things and this is no exception. As reported in the Daily News, McMaster graduate Adam van Koeverden will be Team Canada's flag bearer at the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing! Wow!

I met him a few days ago, hes so nice! We used to live near each other and our high school's are right next to each other haha.

Thats pretty awesome for him! Not many people can brag that they held the flag for their country during the olympics!

He was the bearer for closing ceremonies in 2004 as well.

I heard some great things about him. He's extremely good at kayaking. Apparently if you want to watch Canada win a gold medal he's the guy to watch, not to jinx anything. But his record this year was crazy, 5/6 gold medals in world competitions the other being a bronze? Or something like that. Anyways, I'll be watching
