McMaster University makes Top 100 In World
McMaster University has been ranked 93rd among the top 200 universities in the world, according to the Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings.
Mac was one of nine Canadian schools named in the rankings, joining the University of Toronto (17th), UBC (30th) and McGill University (35th) in the top 100.
U of T was the only Canadian school to land on the prestigious top-20 list.
Individual scores are based on a broad range of factors, including the number of papers published, the number of PhDs awarded and money for research.

I'm pretty impressed! My best friend goes to McGill so now we can equally brag to all our other friends who don't go to GREAT schools like ours... hehehe

From what I hear, U of T is great for it's graduate education. Undergraduate is not that special there. But I mean, I've heard that from teachers & profs, I don't know much about that. As for Mac, I'm just happy it's up there with the likes of UBC and McGill. I'm surprised more people don't know about McMaster.

Ya, I've heard the same things - my sister went to Toronto and implored me not to go there.
Plus, Hamilton Hall doesn't exist on the U of T campus, so.....ya.....Mac wins.

If the rankings were based on undergrad happiness, U of T wouldn't even make the list.

I chose it mainly over Guelph, but also U of T and I agree.
With the exception of the Solar/Mugsi hellpit I love Mac.

Their grad programs are still huge, though...like over a hundred in some of their programs. That's absolutely INSANE.
One of my classes was split in two because thirty students was waaaaay too many (it's seminar-based).

Hamilton Hall is where it's at.
Of course, UoT is without a doubt the "best" school in Canada in most fields...

It reminds me of Hogwarts! I love walking down in that area on my way to an 8:30 class.
I secretly pretend I'm on a broom playing quidditch, so if you ever see someone looking for the golden snitch...
