You connect to the WiFi for the first time, download the clean access agent, and then let the Clean Access Agent start up... plug in your MacID and password, and then you'll be good to go.

You could have a problem if you don't use a recognized antivirus program, but McMaster offers a free one if you don't.

It depends on where you are. Residences do not have wireless internet (except for some residence's common rooms or lobbies.

You would need to download Cisco Access Agent (if you are on a PC) and then you would connect using your MacID and password.

Most classrooms/buildings have wifi, and outside too. It's great (except for when people are watching youtube in class >.>).

Nope. Much easier for Macs. It'll just prompt you to log in automatically - no clean access agent needed.

Yeah, it'll just show up in your browser. The connection expires every 180 minutes though, so you'll have to log in again if you're using it for longer than that.

It's the same for Nokia phones, I've tried using my Nokia N81 and it works though the screen's kinda small and typing is a challenge. XD

Some residence rooms (like, for example in Edwards) may catch some of the wifi coming from places like the Arts Quad, but 90%+ of all residence rooms do not have any kind of wifi connection. You're pretty much stuck with your ethernet cord.
